If you've never heard of stamping
Instead of painting designs by hand, you pick up a design from an etched plate and press it onto your nail. It's easy to learn, endlessly customizable, and made for artists of every level. Just pick a plate, stamp your style, and show off your art.
Freehand bats and spiderwebs never look like the photo.
The design is already engraved in the plate, so every web and wing comes out crisp.
Detailed skulls and skeletons feel out of reach at home.
Fine linework, lace webs and tiny bones transfer in one roll.
Regular polish looks sheer and patchy.
Stamping polish is thicker and more pigmented, so designs look opaque.
How it works
Apply stamping polish over your favorite design on the plate, then swipe off the extra with the scraper in one firm motion.
Roll your clear stamper over the plate to lift the design. You should see a crisp image on the stamper head.
Gently roll the stamper onto your nail to transfer the design, then finish with Smudge Free Top Coat to protect your art.
Prep first. Have your tools clean and ready before polish touches the plate.
Scrape lightly. Once or twice at most, so the polish stays in the design.
Roll, don't press. A gentle rolling motion gives the cleanest pickup.
Stamping polish is thicker and packed with pigment, so the design transfers cleanly and looks opaque on your nail. Some regular polishes work, but results and opacity vary.

A technique that transfers pre-designed patterns onto your nails using a stamping plate, stamper and highly pigmented polish. Instead of painting designs by hand, you pick up the design from the plate and press it onto your nail.
Yes, paint your nails first in any regular polish you like (orange, purple and black all look great for Halloween), let it dry, then stamp on top. Fright Night comes with black stamping polish and Skeleton Crew with white.
Yes. Stamping works on the surface of your nails, so the base underneath doesn't matter as long as it's fully dry or cured and smooth.
Some regular polishes work, but results and opacity will vary. Stamping polish is thicker and packed with pigment so designs transfer cleanly. Gel polish won't stamp a clear design.
Usually the polish dried before the stamper touched the plate. Scrape lightly at a 45° angle or lower, roll the stamper right away, and avoid pressing hard.
Use tape, a sticky lint roller or our Sticky Stamper Station. Never use acetone on the stamper, as it can cause cloudiness.
